We’ll use Guideline 12 of the ANSI 748 Standard as an example of how this matrix works.
Guideline 12 states, “Identify and control level of effort activity by time-phased budgets established for this purpose. Only that effort which is not measurable or for which measurement is impracticable may be classified as level of effort.”
Guideline 12 is part of the Planning & Budgeting category. In the EVMIG Guideline / Management Process matrix, Guideline 12 is associated with three separate management processes – Work/Budget Authorization, Material Management and Subcontract Management.
