wInsight Administrator

Used to populate the wInsight database, make manual adjustments to performance data, recalculate the database, backup/restore the database, create user defined fields, print CPR & C/SSR formats and export data to other systems in the X12 839 format.

wInsight Web

Brings wInsight's celebrated sort windows, reports, trend charts and Deltek Glue schedule correlation to any client running a standard browser, without requiring plug-ins, ActiveX controls, Java virtual machines or any other client-side software. Analysts, managers and engineers can simply point their browser to a wInsight Web URL and begin evaluating project performance.

wInsight Dashboard

A powerful solution for Program and Portfolio performance management. The wInsight Dashboard is easy to implement, and quickly gets organizations up and running with an adaptable system to allow data integration from legacy and newer PM systems into a single, secure web-based environment. Deltek Glue

A software tool that integrates the performance measurement data in Deltek wInsight with true schedule status in Microsoft Project. Deltek Glue Viewer is also offered as a stand-alone version that presents schedule data for customers who wish to share schedule Gantt views without the need for a scheduling package on each desktop.

Deltek Connect

Deltek Connect^™ products extract and warehouse data from earned value and/or scheduling systems to support the Deltek wInsight tool set. The scheduling system-based Connect products are suitable for projects where strict baseline control and complex rate structures are not required.

Deltek Briefing Wizard

An application that works with Microsoft^® PowerPoint and Deltek wInsight to automatically generate project management review presentations from the underlying earned value data. It is a template-based tool that allows the user to identify a host of criteria that can be reused each month to generate consistent presentations.

Most projects have a wealth of performance data that is very expensive to generate but is underutilized and poorly disseminated. Deltek wInsight helps organizations to integrate performance data to improve insight into project performance, streamline the process of project management, and enhance communications with their customers.

Key features include:

Sort Windows
Sort Windows are used to quickly identify problem areas. Sort window columns are customizable so users can choose the metrics with which to manage. The user also has complete control over the rows (or elements) displayed by employing custom or pre-defined filters. For example, the user could choose to display only the rows for a given IPD Team, or all the rows for a given IPD that are more than 15% complete and have exceeded reporting thresholds. wInsight's unique "sum button" allows the user to generate a "virtual element" which is the sum of the filtered rows, and to view reports and charts based on that virtual element. Other tools fix the columns displayed and offer no means to filter or sum the data. When the user selects a new element in the sort window, all open charts and reports are automatically updated to the new element. Sort windows can also collect data across multiple projects at a detailed or summary level. This provides a powerful tool to collect performance data for a given manager/organization across multiple projects, or to provide a top-level executive information system (EIS) with drill-drown capabilities.
Charts
Charts are used to graphically display historical trend data and project into the future. Deltek wInsight supports a wide range of analysis and management charts, and allows users to build custom charts.
Reports
Reports display key performance data for each element. Reports include incremental values, cumulative values, statistical estimates at completion and an "artificial intelligence" narrative that explains in plain English what the earned value data indicates.
Microsoft^® Windows Integration
The Deltek wInsight architecture and user interface is well designed and easy to use. Functions that take multiple keystrokes in other tools can be done with a mouse click in wInsight. It provides extensive control over the user interface, and remembers your desired settings. wInsight is a sophisticated OLE Automation server, allowing you to write Visual Basic (VB), Visual C , Delphi or Java scripts to control wInsight. Our Briefing Wizard product uses this technology to integrate wInsight and PowerPoint, automatically generating a forty-slide project management review (PMR) in minutes. By comparison, many organizations spend several days per month for each project to prepare PMR briefings.

Deltek wInsight integrates with a wide range of commercial earned value/schedule management tools. In addition, wInsight is designed to work with other Deltek software products including Deltek Glue (cost/schedule correlation), wInsight Administrator (database maintenance and EDI), Briefing Wizard, and Deltek Connect Products (EDI of earned value data).
